Canine Colors

This is a fun, interactive and experiential class. Whether you are looking to choose that perfect pet to add to your family (this class is great for deciding which new furry family member to add) or for people in the pet industry with many years of experience, you will walk away with a new perspective and way of thinking about your pets and pets you care for. This class can also be used for understanding coworkers, especially in the pet industry. I teach this class to all my new employees which helps me set them up for success in my pet spa! This class is useful for all people that love dogs!

Each individual has a distinct personality that sets us apart from all the rest. It’s that distinct personality that makes people who they are. Identifying their strengths by using the True Colors model makes them shine like the brightest star in the sky.

Did you know that this same theory can be applied to dogs, too? Like people, each individual dog has a distinct personality. Use this booklet to discover your strengths and learn more about yourself and the colorful personalities that make up the Canine World.

Are you frustrated with your dog? Need more understanding about the breed you have or would like to have? Is your pets’ issues personality traits or behavior issues….or a little of both? How can you make the best of you and your pets’ quirks??

This is a fun, interactive class for pet owners or for those looking to get “matched up” when looking for a new four-legged family member!

Titer Antibody Testing Clinics

Dr. Judy has developed a unique whole-body approach to both treating and preventing disease.  She looks at each pet as an individual and will teach you the best way to support the natural healing ability of the body with proper nutrition, herbs, supplements, and other natural treatment options. Dr. Judy lives a holistic lifestyle herself, along with her husband, Chris, and her personal pets and teachers, Wylie and C-Jay – two Chihuahuas who are always in her shadow. In her personal time, she has found that spending time in nature is both inspiring and rejuvenating. She loves to spend time hiking, snowshoeing, and camping. At home, she enjoys reading, learning, meditating, running, and practicing yoga.
Titer Antibody Testing is $75.00 –A titer test is a laboratory test measuring the existence and level of antibodies to disease in blood. Antibodies are produced when an antigen (like a virus or bacteria) provokes a response from the immune system. This response can come from natural exposure or from vaccination.
It is especially useful when making a decision about vaccinating an animal with unknown vaccination history, or for determining if puppies have received immunity from vaccination. Most experts believe strong titers are a more reliable indication of immunity than vaccination: tests show the actual immune response, not just the attempt to cause an immune response by vaccination.

You will need to continue to work on these steps that build upon each other to reach the place of predictable reaction. Positive reinforcement is a process. There are no live snakes in class. If your pet is reactive to other dogs, please consider an “audit” spot where you will learn the process and can work at home on the steps introduced.

Why take a Pet Emergency Preparedness class?

First, you cannot call Doggy 911 in most areas.  Our pets cannot tell us what they may be wrong and once start showing symptoms they can be pretty darn sick.  This class teaches us how to identify a true emergency and then how best to treat it until we can seek veterinary care.

Thanks again for another great training a couple of weekends ago! I really appreciate you letting me re-certify now. I recommended it to a couple of other pet sitters I know.  Oh, just a few nights ago, one of my client’s dogs (3-year-old Maltese) was vomiting a lot and when I saw pale gums, I took him into a vet for some fluids. He’s doing fine now.”  Read more testimonials about our classes below.

Who should take a Pet First Aid Class?

I believe that anyone that puts their hands-on fur during the course of a day!  Whether you are a cat or dog owner, pet sitter, groomer, dog trainer, pet boarding facility employee, volunteer, foster family, animal control officer, veterinary technician, etc.

What if I am unable to take the class after I register?

If you are unable to take the class, please notify us as soon as possible.  We can transfer your registration to a class in the future but unfortunately, we do not give refunds.
